The Symposium strives to give in-depth, honest, and quality reviews of a wide range of books so that you, the reader, can know which book is really worth reading. That is the goal of this blog but I am I achieving it? You tell me!
Welcome to The Symposium’s first contest: Review The Symposium and Win! This site’s goal is a simple one but in order for it to be effective it needs to reach a wide variety of people and this, my gentle visitors, is where you come in. Help spread the word about The Symposium and in return you have the chance to win some great prizes! All you have to do is write up a simple blog entry reviewing The Symposium and its reviews and you’re automatically entered in a chance to win. For more details keep reading!
Guidelines:
- Each entry is to be a review of The Symposium and its contents.
The entry must contain a minimum of 200 words or more and the tone of the entry should be neutral or positive. Obviously positive is preferred but honesty is key. Limit 1 entry per blog! - Because I’m not nearly as proficient in languages as I would like to be your entry must be in either English or Spanish. My Japanese is not too good so if you would like to submit an entry in Japanese it will need to be written in Romanji or in Katakana and Hiragana with no Kanji since I still struggle with kanji.
- Each entry must contain at least three links. One link should be to the main page (http://review.nanashi-inc.net) and two links should be to two different reviews. Remember you are reviewing this site and its entries, it would be odd if you never mentioned any of the reviews.
- This is completely up to you, but if you value honesty you might want to disclose somewhere in your blog entry that you are doing this review for the chance to win cool prizes. You may even want to link back to the contest entry so that others can see what it’s all about or enter for themselves. This is completely up to you and is not required.
- The blog entry must remain active and accessible throughout the duration of the contest. After all, if no one can view it or access it then what is the point?
- You must provide the exact url to the blog entry for review!
- Because this contest requires a public blog entry that is accessible to all viewers the contest is only open to those who have their own blogs and sites. You do not need to be hosted or own your own domain in order to enter this contest. This contest is open to all bloggers, though I would prefer that your site not be riddled with pop ups. Livejournal, myspace, xanga, wordpress, members are more than welcome to join!
The contest will officially open on April 1st, 2007 [no joke!] and will run until May 1st, 2007. Winners will be selected and announced on the 7th of May. And now for the part that everyone wants to read – the prizes!

I’d just like to take a moment to address some questions which have arisen since my initial posting:
- Should you win, your 468×60 banner will be displayed at random on 40+ sites across the N-I.net network. The sites have various Google Page Ranks. Your site will be equally distributed on sites that have anywhere from a PR of 0 to 4.
- The site which you write the blog entry on does not have to be the one that will be advertised should you be selected as a winner. Let’s say you have two sites, a blog and recipee site, you may write the contest entry on your blog and if you are selected as the winner you can have the recipee site displayed instead.
- There is a limit of one entry per blog. If however you have two or three blogs you can enter one submission per each blog you own. HOWEVER each submission must be unique and original. if it is copied it will be considered void and not entered in the contest.

I think it still actually..
