There is a great book challenge going on for the remainder of the summer. It’s called Beach Blanket Bonanza and will be running from July 1st to September 1st 2007.

There are lots of wonderful reading challenges going on right now (or coming up in a month). These all seem to be set for reading books we either have to read or should read. To mix things up a bit and make sure we don’t forget to have fun while reading, I’m starting a new challenge: The Beach Blanket Bonanza. The goal here is to read at least three (3) books just for fun. Whatever you’ve been wanting to read but have put aside for more serious reading, now’s your chance.

Here are the books I’ve selected for the challenge:
- Awaken Me Darkly by Gena Showalter (since I’ve been lacking the motivation recently to continue it.)
- The Light Bearer by Donna Gillespie
- You Slay Me by Katie MacAlister
- Brightly Burning by Mercedes Lackey
- Harm None by M.R. Sellars
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling (who isn’t going to be reading this?)
The Light Bearer was also a recommendation/request so you can expect to see at least one review out of this challenge, if not more.
