LoveReading is a website I was only recently introduced to but I honestly feel that it is definately worth mentioning here. Many of us, I’m sure, have realized that we spend a small fortune in books annually in order to feed our addiction. No doubt some of you are members of online bookswaps, carry library cards, and are a member of one or more bookclubs. We join these things in an attempt to gain access to a range of books while sticking to our budget, secondly, we also like meeting those with similar interests.
No doubt, if you’re fortunate enough to have one, you enjoy visiting your local bookstore. I’m not talking Barnes and Noble or Borders either. I’m talking that nice little spot that has an eclectic collection and an owner who is always willing to order you anything they might not have and to offer advice and commentary. If you’re lucky enough to have such a store near you then it’s probably your home away from home.
What if you could find a virtual place that has that feel to while still having the wide selection of the major booksellers? LoveReading attempts to do just that. Here are some of the main features of this site that may perk your interest:
- Receive email newsletters on newly published books from your favorite genres and authors
- Access to extracts so you can browse books
- Book reviews by Sarah Broadhurst
- Recommendations on other authors that might interest you based on your preferences.
- A minimum of a 25% discount on every book listed
- Get a price comparison on books so that you can find the cheapest place to buy books
- Access to pre-publication previews on books
Now here’s the best part – it’s all free!
So if you would like to have access to the aforementioned features I would highly recommend that you hurry over and register. This site aims to help readers who love to read but would like to receive guidance from time to time on what to read and where to buy and it does exactly that.
