Oh My! Just by looking at the title of this post you can see that a lot is going on here.
First of all, the second edition of the Book Review Carnival was posted over at Novel Bloggers yesterday. So if you haven’t had a chance to check out all of the reviews that were submitted to the carnival this time around then head on over now.
If you review books then come join in on the fun by submitting your book review to the carnival.
Unlike years past, this year I will be able to participate in the 24 Hour Read-a-thon that is coming up.
The Read-a-thon officially starts on October 18, 2008, at noon GMT – that would make it 06:00 MST for me – and it ends on the 19th at noon GMT. Twenty-four hours of reading – doesn’t that just sound exciting? On October 18th I’ll be posting updates all day long to the blog to keep everyone up to date on my progress. I might even get to squeeze in a few reviews too.
To make it even better, there is now a R.I.P mini-challenge to coincide with the 24 hour read-a-thon. On October 18th, from 10pm to 2am PST participants of the mini-challenge shall be reading R.I.P.-appropriate material. And to make it even sweeter, there are goodies to be won as well.
Be sure to head on over to Carl’s blog for more details and to sign up.

I wish I could participate in the 24-hr-Read-A-Thon.
Unfortunately, I’ll be at work for the first 2 hours and so won’t be able to do it. Plus – I don’t think I could stay awake that long while reading. LOL
Charity,
According to the Read-a-thon rules you don’t have to be reading the full 24hrs. You can still go to work, sleep, take breaks, whatever. The die-hards are going to be the ones trying to do it for twenty-four hours.
You should join in anyway. Plus there are going to be a bunch of challenges going on and giveaways too. Definitely fun!
That sounds like fun! I could never stay awake for 24 hours – but it still sounds like a ton of fun!
Thanks for linking back to the Carnival on my blog Novel Bloggers! It helps spread the word and make the carnival more of a success.
I’m one of the read-a-thon helpers and I’m visiting the participants to make sure they haven’t forgotten it’s this coming Saturday already, but your post makes it clear that you haven’t. Have lots of fun reading!
