A couple of weeks ago there was an interesting subject mentioned on the Booking Through Thursday meme. I really wanted to take part in that meme that week, but I didn’t have the time sadly and wasn’t home much that day either. Still though, the topic did interest me greatly, and after some thought, I decided to give it a try. I thought it might be challenging and fun and I was right too. So what exactly is this “subject” that got me so riled up? Why, the Sorted Books Project of course!

The Sorted Books Project is the rearranging of books by title so that they make some sort of sense. Say you have three books in your personal library called “Over Tokyo”, “A Red Sky”, and “Breaking Dawn”. You might line them on your shelf (or stack them) so that they read: Breaking Dawn, A Red Sky Over Tokyo. It’s truly amazing what combinations you can come up with. The original creators of the project have worked with several different collections and come up with quite an impressive array of photos. As such, I thought it might be fun to make my own “sorted books collection” from my own personal library and share the adventure with my readers here by making it a semi-regular feature.

With that said, let’s get on to the first in this series.

13 little blue envelopes marked the turning

Books used in this shot were:

13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson

Marked by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

The Turning by Jennifer Armintrout

The first shot in this series is rather ominous-sounding, isn’t it?
